Portals to Peace

  Disclaimer

I offer a profound apology to all the photographers/artists and website designers whose work I have copied and altered without permission, nor abiding by their terms, by giving due credit for their artistic creations, via links on the page. It was my intention initially when I began sending out the odd email with an embellished quote, to give full credit to all the photographers. I downloaded graphics that I could use, without paying attention to the creator and without any idea of how this little hobby would evolve. I did make a small attempt initially, contacted hundreds of photographers and artists but eventually it got out of control logistically and I had to give up that pursuit. Where a link was requested, it has been inserted. I wish  to provide a link to Paul Keates, the photographer whose image I have used for my home page. I have written him countless times via  the  option provided by Photosig,  but without a response. Perhaps he didn't care enough one way or the other. I have made the assumption that if he did, he would have responded. However I want to acknowledge him and his beautiful photograph which so inspired me that I have provided a link  to his body of work. http://www.photosig.com/go/users/viewportfolio?id=97778.  I apologize for not being able to provide a hyperlink. I have no idea why I couldn't but you can copy and paste  this address into your browser. I  want to gratefully acknowledge that 99% of the people I did contact, were very generous in allowing me to use their work for my 'little' hobby. This endeavour has given my life some daily purpose after I had lost everything that I held dear to my heart. I have a minute knowledge of PSP (am trying to learn) but no other graphic program which is why I have relied on the talents of others to enhance my pages. My very small contribution, has been to try to marry my love of photography/art and graphics with inspirational messages that have been very meaningful to me as I have had to venture through the labyrinth of emotional, physical and financial challenges.

This endeavor has been a gift from my heart and never with the intention of making a financial gain.  I FELT COMPELLED to share what to me, were messages that gave me hope and inspiration to continue, when all seemed hopeless. I will attempt to mention all the graphic artists whose wonderful talents have contributed to the overall appearance of my pages and provide a link on a separate page.  I have inserted a copyright into every photographic/artistic image I have used where available. Should anyone feel they cannot support my small endeavour to spread peace via this venue, please contact me and I will remove whatever aspect you take issue with or insert a link to your website.  It is my sincere hope that you will join with me in spreading enlightenment to a world so much in need. I have no desire to take credit for anything on my pages except, in the way I have compiled the photographs/art and graphics with the text.

It is my hope that anyone who visits my website will leave a little enriched and motivated to change their attitudes towards self and others. We are so much harder on ourselves than on anyone else. Ultimately, our purpose is to learn Empathy, Compassion and Love. It is my personal belief that it begins with ourselves. We cannot extend love to others, if we cannot be loving and forgiving towards ourselves. Every religion is based on the principle of "Love Thy Neighbour as Thy Self."
